Chicken Confusion
As you may know, I moved the chickens down to the bottom garden, and although I initially enclosed them, they have emerged confused about where they should lay their eggs. I have found eggs on the path, behind bushes and in sheds. They are sleeping in the coup but one has decided the canoe rack is an upmarket move and I am not too keen as she then tends to dirty up my canoes and kayaks. After much research, the only answer is a temporary enclosure again. This time at will include a coup upgrade, with additional perches installed and a suitable large fenced off area. I am hoping fourteen days should be long enough to realise this is their new home and then they can free range again… I’ll let you know.
