The Old Man and the Sea

The Old Man and the Sea

Whether it is Ernest Hemingway’s writing style, the well known story of his life or his rugged and adventurous personality which makes ‘The old man and the sea’ so wonderfully memorable. It could be the combination of all these things or it could be his evocative and emotive writing, which resonates with those of us who have a love of the sea and see courage and beauty in the struggle of life.

Or possibly his short sentences.

‘The old man and the sea’ Quotes.

“Now is no time

to think of what you do not have.

Think of what you can do

with that there is”

“I may not be as strong as I think, but I know many tricks and I have resolution.”

If the others heard me talking out loud they would think that I am crazy. But since I am not, I do not care.”
