Podcasts

We all have our secrets. Mine is despite appearances whilst working in the garden with my earphones on, I am not listening to music.  I am more than likely listening to a podcast downloaded from iTunes. ‘The News Quiz’ or ‘Friday Night Comedy’ are always great. Dan Snow or Malcolm Gladwell always have some something interesting to say and you can’t go too wrong with ‘Tedtalks.’ There are literally thousands of podcasts to choose from.

Stephen Fry once wrote that he could not understand when people complained about their education; people who complain their knowledge is limited. He said ‘But it’s all around you! All you have to do is bend down and pick it up!’

We live in a time when knowledge has never been so accessible. When curious about almost any subject we are able to research and discuss it with people who share our interest from all around the world. If we not able or not inclined to practically engage in discussion, we can at least be part of an audience.  A podcast listener, for example. We live in an amazing time when information is free to those who are willing to scoop up what is readily available.
