Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour
I’m delighted that Swimming Souls has been selected for the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour exhibition and deeply honoured to have been awarded the SABA (Scottish Artists Benevolent Award). A very special moment.

Where You Can See Our Work In The Real World
I am a practising artist working in oils, watercolour and ink. My work explores the marine environment — the sea, its surface, and the life within it. I am particularly drawn to the freedom of the sea and its fish, and I try to convey something of their movement and quiet resilience.
Through field sketches, photography and watercolours made in wild coastal locations, I attempt to capture both the physical presence of a place and the emotions it evokes. Back in my studio in Dunoon, Argyll, I use oil paint to translate these sea-filled impressions.
