At this time of year when the weather is crisp and dry, there is nothing better than either a walk along Sandy Beach in Innellan or along the riverside at Benmore. The sunny days belay the sharp edge to the wind and despite the shortening days, we can”t help but delight in the clean air and fresh smells that Autumn brings

If you’re lucky the leaves will not have been raked into heaps and glimpses of the little red squirrel as he goes about his labours are joys to be shared with an overly excited dog.

These seasonal pleasures can only be improved when the time comes to light the log fire, so I’ll just go and make a hot chocolate and get the logs in.
