Swallows and Amazon

Swallows and Amazons

Swallows and Amazons written by Arthur Ransome in the 1930’s is about a group of children who find independence and adventure on the water in the Lake District. Ransome managed to capture the innocence of the long hot summer holidays of our childhood and capture them in the words of his adventure inspiring novel.

Have you read this book? If you haven’t then you just must try to lay your hands on a copy. If you are anything like me you’ll go and buy yourself a little wooden clinker with red sails and a large jolly roger.
